Location of the Square Kilometre Array

Months of speculation and lobbying ended on 25 May 2012 when the SKA Organisation released its decision on the siting of the Square Kilometre Array.  It will be a co-hosting arrangement (termed a 'dual-site implementation model') involving both Australasia and South Africa, the final two candidates in the hosting bid.  The formal announcement is on the SKA Organisation website.
